Why Isn’t The Law Of Attraction Working For Me?


Now, some of you may be wondering about the title of this post.  I have a website relating to manifesting…shouldn’t the Law of Attraction be working for me?

It is.  All the time in fact.

What I’m referring to are the number of times I am posed this question on a daily basis.  It seems like people are constantly thinking there’s something wrong with them…there’s something wrong with what they’re doing…there’s something wrong with the Law of Attraction.

Whatever it is - they think the Law of Attraction isn’t working for them.

They want instant results.  They might be willing to wait a day to get what they want.  Maybe they can stretch it to a week.  But what they really want is to attract their desires RIGHT NOW.

They ignore the signs that they are attracting what they want.

They don’t follow through on any actions that they’re suddenly inspired to take.

They don’t let go of their desire - choosing instead to obsess over the idea that it isn’t here right now.

The Law of Attraction isn’t McDonald’s.  You can’t drive your car up to the menu, place your order, and drive around to the window and pick it up.

The Law of Attraction takes time.

Yes, you can think about someone and have them call in a few hours.

Yes, you can think about an apple and have someone bring you a bushel of apples that evening.

Yes, you can even think about how nice it would be to speak to a recruiter about a new job and have one call you the next day.

But, as you can see with each of these examples, these aren’t things that you constantly obsess over, looking around, trying to figure out why they haven’t appeared yet.  When you think about someone, you usually forget about them until they do call.  When you think about an apple, the thought usually passes through your mind within a few seconds.  When you think about speaking to a recruiter, you might put it on your to-do list, but you let it go as soon as you do so.

But when it comes to something people really want, they usually have trouble letting go.  They want it to appear and they want it right now.  They keep looking around, thinking that it hasn’t shown up yet.  And each time they think that, they simple manifest more of it not showing up.

The Law of Attraction is working - all the time, for everyone. 

Even you. 

The question is: are you letting it bring you what you want?

The single most important factor for successful people is simply feeling good.

If success is really that simple, then why are so many people struggling?

That is a good question. We have been taught that in order to achieve something, we have to suffer first. It has been said, no pain no gain. But I tell you this …That is ABSOLUTELY false.

Look at the life of a highly successful person. Is he suffering, is he struggling? If he is, then I can assure you that he is not successful in the area that he is struggling against. He may look successful in a certain area, but very unsuccessful in others. Have you ever seen a multimillionaire who is suffering from bad health? Why does that happen? He has all the money he needs to hire the best doctors in the world, why is he still suffering from ill health?

Here is what’s really happening.

He is highly successful financially, because he feels really good about himself in the financial area; he is unsuccessful physically, because he feels bad about his health.

The point I want to make is this. If you notice someone who is extremely successful in one area, then you will be certain to notice he feels great about himself in that area. He has been conditioned to feel good in that area, just like most people have been conditioned to struggle in some areas of life.

If you are still not convinced, perhaps you can think of it this way. How do you define success? It is certainly not just about setting a goal and achieving it. That is important, but it’s only part of the story. Success in my definition and in most successful people’s definition is about enjoying a state of well-being in every moment of our existence. It all comes down to a state of feeling good. You may not agree with me, you may consider success as having a million dollars in your bank account; you may consider success as being famous as a public figure. Then let me ask you a question: “why do you want a million dollars?”, or “why do you want to be a famous person?” If you think hard about this question, you will find that all you want is simply to feel good.

Here is the big mistake that most people make. They think they are going to be happy once they get that million dollars, they think they will be happy once they become a superstar. But when they reach that goal, they feel a moment of excitement, and finally they realize that that is all there is. And then they set a higher goal, and wish they will be happy once they reach that goal. They will never be happy as long as they don’t change their approach.

Then what is the right approach?

Since your ultimate goal is to feel good, then why not choose to feel good right now? How do you do that? It is simply by choosing to feel good at this moment. It is as simple as that. People have spent great amounts of money searching for techniques and strategies to make them successful, but they forget that the most powerful tool is the most fundamental; it is simply feeling good.

You may say “it is easier said than done, how can I feel good if I am broke?” If that is how you think, here is my answer to you… There are only two kinds of feeling we experience every day. One is feeling good, and one is feeling bad.

Good feelings send a powerful signal to the universe, and through the law of attraction, you will attract people, circumstances and events to match your state of feeling good. Bad feelings also send a powerful signal to the universe to bring back people, circumstances and events to match your state of feeling bad.

Have you seen that?

Feelings are the causes, conditions are the effects.

You cannot get away from being broke if you are feeling bad. You only reinforce the cause.

So begin to feel good one way or another, no matter what conditions you are in.

At the moment you choose to feel good, amazing things will happen.

If you don’t believe me, try it. You have nothing to lose.

The Happiness Rant


It amazes me how with all of the interest in the Law of Attraction generated by “The Secret” so many people’s lives remain the same. They’ve seen the movie, they’ve read books about the Law of Attraction, but nothing’s changed. Many are still victims. Many are still full of anger. Many of them mistakenly think the Law of Attraction isn’t working for them. It’s like they’re still looking for the magic pill to make them happy, when the answer to their happiness lies within them - always has, always will.

Strange Things Are Afoot

I haven’t been posting as much lately due to a variety of strange occurrences happening lately - everything from places suddenly smelling like raw garlic to smoke alarms repeatedly going off for no apparent reason.  I’m not sure what’s causing everything or what it could possibly mean, but it is really odd.  Any ideas welcome.

Do You Still Get Excited?


When you first start manifesting something, do you get excited at the idea of it?  Do you smile whenever you find yourself thinking about how wonderful it would be to have it in your life?  Do you look forward to having it in your life?

And then, maybe a few days later, maybe only an hour later, do you find yourself no longer excited?

Sure, the idea of it manifesting in your life still sounds great.  It’d be nice if it actually happened.  But is the excitement, the expectation, still there?

It is so easy to manifest your desires.  It is also so easy to fail at manifesting your desires.

When the things you want to manifest no longer make you feel amazing when you think of them, when you simply nod your head and shrug at the idea of attracting them into your life, it’s time to re-examine what you want and why you want it.

Maybe what you thought you wanted to manifest is no longer right for you.  Maybe a part of you isn’t ready to receive your desire.  Maybe it’s easier for things to remain as they are.

When you say to yourself, “Oh, hum, it’d be nice if it manifested, but…well…boy, that coffee smells good,” the Universe simply nods its head, lets you get your cup of coffee, and watches as you continue on not really caring about the path your life is taking in regards to this particular desire.

Manifesting is easy.  But you have to be willing to commit to your desires.

5 Ways To Fail With The Law Of Attraction


1. Don’t Believe You Can Attract What You Want

This is the biggest problem most people have with the Law of Attraction. If you are not attracting what you want, on some level you don’t believe that you can attract it.

Often people will say, “I do believe I can attract it, but it still isn’t happening.”  The truth is that if you believed you could attract what you want, it would be happening.  Every time you say it isn’t happening, you’re telling the Universe to give you more of it not happening.  Every time you feel attachment (fear, anger, sadness, etc.), you are demonstrating a belief, on some level, that you cannot manifest what you want.

2. Don’t Trust the Universe

Let’s say on Monday you decide you’re going to use the Law of Attraction to attract a mate.  Then every day thereafter you look around and, feeling disappointed, say, “Where is he/she?”  All you’re doing is doubting that it will happen.  You’re sending out negative energy that says, “My mate isn’t here.”  And so your mate doesn’t appear.  You have to be patient and trust that everything will work out in the best way possible.

3. Ignore Your Negative Emotions and Thoughts

It is better to ignore your negative emotions and thoughts then to dwell on them, and end up manifesting more negativity into your life.  However, if you continuously ignore them, they can prevent you from attracting your desires.

Any time you have a negative emotion or thought, it is a sign that you not only don’t believe that you can manifest your desire, but that you are also attached to your desire.  Ignoring the emotion or thought won’t destroy your desire, but you will not manifest it as easily as if you eliminated your negative emotions or thoughts.

4. Ignore The Signs That You Are Attracting Your Desires

Whenever you want to manifest a desire, you will see signs of it coming before it ever arrives.  For example, if you want to manifest a new car, you might receive something in the mail with a picture of your car or you might overhear a conversation about the type of car you desire.  These are signs that your car is coming to you.  They are also signs that you still have a little more work to do to come into alignment with the physical manifestation of your car.

If you don’t feel good about the signs you are receiving, you might want to reconsider if what you are asking for is what you truly desire or simply something that you think you should have.  You should also look to see if there is a part of you that doesn’t believe you can attract your desire.

The important thing is that every time you see a sign, acknowledge it.  Give thanks that what you want is coming to you.

5. Don’t Fully Commit To The Law Of Attraction

Do you actually ask the Universe for what you desire?  Do you ask for every detail that you want it to have?  Or do you just hope the Universe gets it right?

Do you get excited at the idea of manifesting something, but then your excitement disappears and it’s hard for you to care about it anymore?  Sure it might still sound nice, but do you still get excited?

Do you regularly make lists of what you want (everything from how your day is going to go to your next business meeting to your dream house)? Or do you only make them occasionally?  Does it become too much work to create your life intentionally?

The Law of Attraction is so simple…so easy…that it’s often taken for granted.  Desires might only be thought about once a day or even once a week.  And then people wonder why they aren’t manifesting anything.

You have to commit to the Law of Attraction.  You have to be willing to pay attention to the signs the Universe is giving you.  You have to be willing to take action.  And, most importantly, you have to be willing to overcome any limiting beliefs you might have.  Especially if a limiting belief is what is preventing you from committing to the Law of Attraction.
