The Magic Formula for Manifesting Your Desires
It is really easy to get confused when studying how to manifest your desires. Some people say you have to visualize what you want every day, others that you should only think about it once and then forget about it. Some people say you need to think about your desires for thirty minutes at a time, while others say that seventeen seconds is enough. Some people say you need to write what you want on a piece of paper and burn it, while others say you need to take the piece of paper, tear it up and throw it away. So who is right? Which one is the magic formula? After all, they all say their way works the best.
Well, I do not mean to confuse you more, but they are all right. Some ways work best for some people; some ways work best for different kinds of desires. I am sure that if you look at your life or the lives of those around you, you will see instances of different methods working. Maybe one day you think of something once, forget about it, and then suddenly it appears. It could be something as simple as thinking you would like an apple, forgetting about it and then everywhere you go there are apples – you see stationary with apples, apple pie, people eating apples, and a friend unexpectedly brings you a bushel of apples. Another time maybe there was something in your life that simply the idea of it made you really excited and you could not stop thinking about it and before you knew it, it was there. Maybe you were looking for a new job and found one that sounded like the perfect match. You could see yourself so clearly working in the building. You could picture the conversations you would have with your co-workers. You could even hear your boss telling you how happy he was to have hired you. All day long, day after day, all you did was imagine yourself in the job. And before you knew it, the job was yours.
So does that mean one method works best for manifesting something simple like an apple while another works better for something harder like a job? No. Is there an easy way to know which method to use? No.
You see, what ultimately determines whether you will manifest your desire today, in two months, or not even in a million years is not how often your visualize your desire, the length of time you spend focusing on it, or even a ritual. Yes, you need to get as clear as possible on what you want, down to the very last detail. But the other conflicting things that people are telling you to do are there for a different reason. They are ways that people have found to help them believe that their desires are coming to them. They are ways that people have created to help them allow their desires into their lives. They are ways to overcome attachment – that is all. They are not magic formulas that will work perfectly every single time. Overcoming attachment is what matters, not writing down what you want every day (who needs a hand cramp?).
Why is overcoming attachment so important? Because it is when you are detached from the outcome that you allow your desires into your life. In fact, if you are completely and utterly detached from the outcome, your desires can manifest instantly. However, the more attachment you have, the longer it will take for your desires to manifest. In fact, if you never overcome your attachment, it is quite possible that you will never get what you want. After all, if you are constantly worrying about something, obsessing over it without any excitement or positive feelings, and so forth, or if you think about something and then tell yourself it will never happen and go over every reason why not, then it does not matter whether you think about something once or a million times, perform a ritual under the full moon or build a bonfire, your desires will always remain desires; they will not become your reality.
To overcome attachment, you have to be okay with not getting what you want. I know that sounds crazy. After all, what is the point in learning how to manifest something that you deeply desire if you do not care if you ever get it? The point it that until you are okay with not having it, you will be trying to control the outcome, telling the Universe how what you want should come to you, never trusting it to bring you what you want in the best way possible. Ultimately, you will always have some doubt as to whether what you want is coming to you.
For example, if you need $500 to pay your mortgage or your house will be foreclosed, you have to be okay with not getting the money. You have to be okay with losing your house. When you are okay with not getting what you want, then you will be allowing what you want into your life because you will no longer be focusing on what you fear. You will not be thinking that you have to have $500 or you will lose your house. Keep thinking that and you will lose your house because, after all, our thoughts attract to us what we think about. When you can think that you do not need to worry about losing your house because even if you do, everything will be okay, then you will be allowing. After all, if you do not get the money you need for your house, it could be that losing your house is the best thing because it allows you to manifest something else that you always wanted. Or it could be that something happens that allows you to keep your house without your ever needing the $500.
Allowing is not about asking once and forgetting about it. Allowing is not about writing down what you want every day. Allowing is not about thirty minutes or pieces of burnt paper. These are different ways that might help you to get to the stage where you are okay with not getting what you want, but none of them are allowing. Allowing is simply letting go of all control over a situation and letting whatever happens happen because whatever happens is for the best. How your desires manifest is up to the Universe. Allowing yourself to receive them is your job.
