The Role of Love in Manifesting

Every area of your life is affected by how much you love it.  If there is an area of your life that you would like to change, falling in love with it exactly as it is will change it.

For example, if a problem area for you is money, it is important to realize that money doesn’t decide whether you are wealthy.  Money is just an object, a thing.  It has nothing to do with whether you are rich or poor.  But if you think that money can decide whether or not you are wealthy, you will lose control over money and it will begin giving you problems, such as falling through your fingers as quickly as you find it or not appearing at all.

But this situation doesn’t have to be permanent.  If you fall in love with money, exactly as it is now in your life, you will begin to have control over money again.  It doesn’t matter if you never have enough money to put food on the table.  What matters is that you love this area of your life.

So how do you fall in love with money?  Think of something you’re good at, something that you love doing.  Think of how much you love it.  Now take that feeling and transfer it to money.  Feel the love for money.  The more you love it, the more things will change.  It will begin to come into alignment with what you desire.  Then pick another area of your life that you dislike, such as your body or your love life, and fall in love with it.  Continue falling in love with the different areas of your life as they are now and before you know it, your life will be aligned with your desires.  You will gain mastery over your life and you’ll be able to simply enjoy it.

My Trip to the Indian Embassy

Yesterday, I had to go to the Indian Embassy in San Francisco.  Before I went, everyone was telling me how horrible it was - long lines, no parking, so crowded you can’t even get in the building, etc.  It definitely didn’t sound like fun.  So the night before I went, I decided what kind of an experience I wanted to manifest.  I thought about every detail from the drive to the embassy, the time I was there, the 4+ hour wait while the paperwork was processed, and so forth.  I also dealt with any beliefs formed from everyone’s horror stories and any other resistance I had.  Then I forgot about all of it.

Now, the funny thing about the embassy that no one mentioned is that it’s in a residential neighborhood.  The only thing that really sets it apart from the other houses is the Indian flag on the front and the license plates on the cars in the driveway.  There’s only one visible security camera near the door.  Other than that, you could drive right by it and never see it.  And I did exactly that.  After all, it’s an embassy - shouldn’t it be this big business building with a large sign with its name emblazoned across the front?

I guess it’s a good thing I did drive past it though because at the time there was no parking anywhere on the street.  When I finally found the embassy, three spots had opened up in front of it.  Now, for someone who not only never learned how to parallel park but has never had to do so, this is a very good thing.

Like all of the horror stories I had been told, there were people waiting outside because the lines were so long.  But unlike the experiences of everyone I knew, everyone was there to get a passport.  No one was there to get a visa.  An hour long wait suddenly turned into a total of three minutes.

That left me more than enough time for a leisurely lunch and to visit both Japantown and Union Square.

And when I returned to the embassy, not only was there even more parking but it took even less time than the morning.

And like the drive to the embassy, the drive home only took 1 1/2 hours, not the normal 2 hours.  And I didn’t have to drive 100 mph either time to make it so quickly.

All in all it was a wonderful day!

Good Advice

“We never care for the present moment. We are so foolish that we wander in times that are not ours, and never think of the only time that belongs to us; we are so frivolous that we dream of the days that are not, and thoughtlessly pass over the only one that exists. We never live, but hope to live; and since we are always preparing to be happy it is inevitable that we shall never be so.”

Manifesting a Briefcase Full of Money

Imagine that for months you’ve been seeking to manifest money.  One day, next to your car you find a briefcase.  When you parked your car, there weren’t any cars next to yours and there aren’t any there now, so you’re not sure who might have left it.  You examine the briefcase to see if there’s any information about the owner.  You notice that it isn’t locked, so you open it.  Inside, there is nothing but money - thousands and thousands of dollars.  There is no information about who the owner is.

Should you turn the briefcase into authorities so that they can find the rightful owner, or should you keep it? Is the briefcase your desire for money manifested? If you turn the briefcase in, are you telling the Universe you don’t want to manifest money after all?

What is Coincidence?

Coincidence isn’t an accident.  It doesn’t occur by chance.  It is something that we make, knowingly or not.

Coincidence is the Law of Attraction in action and our goal is to learn how to make coincidences happen in a way that makes us happy so that our desires will manifest easily and effortlessly, as if they are drawn to us like a magnet.

To create happy coincidences, we have to enjoy life to the fullest.  In everything we do, we must have the time of our lives.  It doesn’t matter if it’s paying the bills, doing housework, or working at a job we hate - we need to do it with the utmost joy.  The more fun we have, the more everything will be in synchronicity and the more good will be drawn to us from everywhere.

Are there days where it seems like everywhere you turn you are seeing and/or hearing something that makes it difficult for you to keep your mind focused on positive thoughts?  Is it difficult for you to believe that what you desire to manifest is on its way to you?  You turn on the TV.  You read the newspaper.  You talk to people.  All you see and hear is what is going wrong - war, poverty, crime, what is wrong with this celebrity, what is wrong with that, and so forth.  Conversations seem to focus on people complaining about everything that is wrong with their lives.

Sometimes it is difficult to see or hear anything positive.  It is as if all people want to do is hear about how much worse someone else is than them, as if somehow it will make their own lives better.  Or they just want you to agree with them that their lives really are terrible, as if that is how it is supposed to be - you should be unhappy with your life, not thrilled to wake up every morning to see what the world will bring you.

What do you do when you want to manifest a new affordable house, but all you hear is that housing prices are skyrocketing and interest rates are going up?  Or you want your dream vacation, but all you hear is that it is not safe to travel?  Or you are looking forward to having a really good meal at your favorite restaurant and the person you are with complains about everything from the drive there to the service to the color of the paint on the walls?

When everything you see or hear is telling you what is wrong, what is bad with the world, what is not “right,” how are you supposed to feel good or think positive thoughts so that you can manifest what you desire?  How are you supposed to believe that you can have what you want?  How can you stay motivated?  How can you think the thoughts that will create the reality you want to create?

It takes some work on your part, but it can be done.  And before you know it, once again you will be back on the path of thinking, feeling and believing what you need to in order to manifest your desires.  Here are some ideas on how to start.

Turn off the TV.  Stop reading the newspaper.  If it is really important, trust me, you will find out.  After all, your friends, family, and co-workers are watching TV and reading the newspaper - soaking up everything they are hearing and seeing, and just like a sponge that is oversaturated, those negative sounds and images have to leak out to someone.  They will want to be the first one to tell you when something important happens.  If you often discuss what you watch and read about with them, they will continue your old negative conversations, unless you decide to stop, change, or limit those conversations.

When someone asks you how you are, even if you are not feeling absolutely, incredibly great, say that you are anyway.  You will be amazed at how much your outlook on life and even how you feel will change when begin saying only that you are wonderful and feeling quite well.  It may also change the other person’s response to you.  For example, if you ask them how they are, they may be so flabbergasted by your response that they forget they were going to tell you about their aches and pains, and instead tell you that things are going well with them too.

Are you stuck in a car with a long commute?  Turn off the radio.  It is amazing how radio shows are no longer about listening to your favorite songs, but rather a rehash of negative events.  How do you counteract this negativity?  Visit your local library or bookstore and get books on tape or CD.  Your trip will appear shorter and you may learn something new.  If you need to check on traffic issues, determine what time the commentators talk about the traffic and only turn the radio on around that time, turn it off when you are done and go back to the audio book.

Stop having conversations where you and/or the other person complain.  Instead, talk about what is going right in your life and in the world.  Talk about what is good about other people.  It might take some time, but eventually the people you talk to will begin to change what they talk about.  If you do get drawn into a conversation where everyone is telling you their “bad news of the day,” you can do several things to change what you hear.  You can change the topic of conversation or say you would rather not hear anything about the topic (This may be hard to do the first time because it may feel like you are hurting the other person’s feelings.).  Or, you can listen to the negative topic and then, before the conversation is over, say that everyone has to say something positive.  This may make everyone laugh which by itself will make everyone feel better.  Not only will you be bringing positive thoughts into your life, but you will be bringing them into the lives of others, thus helping them, perhaps unknowingly, to manifest their desires.

Maybe one day you will turn on the TV or read the newspaper and only hear and see things that make you feel better about your life and the world in general.  But until that happens, you have to create the environment that allows you to create the good thoughts and the good feelings you need to create the reality you want.

As Gandhi said, “Be the change you want to see in the world.”  You have to choose to see and hear the good, regardless of how much everyone and everything around you tries to tell you otherwise.  Whenever you encounter negativity, you have to change your focus.  Focus on the good things in life - now matter how small or big you think they are.  Think about what makes you happy.  Think about what you want to experience more of in your life.  And soon you will begin seeing more positivity in your life, which could lead to what you want to manifest appearing faster.
