When Are You a Ship Stuck In Port?
There are times when you’re manifesting something that you might get nervous or scared. This is resistance coming up. So long as you listen to it, you hold yourself back from creating your desires. That’s why sometimes you have to go outside of your comfort zone in order to get what you want.
Let’s look at sailing as an analogy.
So long as a ship is in port, it’s safe. Nothing can happen to it. The crew doesn’t have to worry. But that isn’t what the ship was built for.
It was created to go out on the sea, to risk the elements, and to have glorious fun while doing so. Every time the crew goes out, they know there’s a chance they may not make it back. But they go anyways. After all, what’s the point in having a ship if you aren’t going to use it?
What’s the point in being human if you aren’t going to experience life?
It’s safe to continue doing things exactly as you have always done them.
It’s safe to stay in the comfort of your home.
It’s safe to stay in the job you dislike.
It’s safe to stay in a relationship you hate.
But if you move out of that safety zone, take the risk, and allow yourself to have an amazing time doing so, who knows what you might discover?
So ask yourself, what are you holding onto because it’s safe? Where can you begin to venture out? How is having things remain the same benefiting you? What would happen if you began to let go? How could you handle it?
It can be uncomfortable and scary to move out of your comfort zone. You might feel like you’re going to fall and there’s nothing there to catch you. But with each step you take, it gets easier. And with each step, you move closer to the future you desire.
So, move your ship out of port.
